Christmas in the City brings Ensemble One’s annual season to a close with a celebration of Christmas through the unmistakable sound of our full orchestra and choir. From much loved carols and seasonal favourites to major choral and orchestral works, each year brings together familiar traditions with music that audiences may be discovering for the first time.

At the heart of the concert is the scale and variety that makes Christmas music so special, from quiet and reflective moments to the full power of orchestra and choir performing together. With opportunities for audiences to join in alongside music simply to sit back and enjoy, Christmas in the City has become an established part of our musical year.

Designed for the whole community, Christmas in the City is about great music, shared tradition and bringing people together at one of the most special times of the year.

Christmas in the City returns each December as the final of Ensemble One’s three annual flagship performances.
